Bellapais Consulting is led by an organizational leader with over twenty five years of global experience. She grew up on the island of Cyprus, loving the fascinating historical and geopolitical significance of the location. Her hometown is one of the few cities in the world still divided by a green zone, which influenced her desire to work in international relations and conflict resolution. She earned internships with Fulbright Scholars working in the region on post-war reconciliation in conflict areas, and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in programs evaluating the impact of education on conflict, as a result she spent most of her career in the Middle East.
Between 2000 and 2017, she worked in foreign policy and soft diplomacy on projects contributing to long term transformation in the Middle East and Gulf Region at a time of extreme volatility and social change. In particular, she ran programs for national level strategies focusing on religious radicalization and civil unrest through socioeconomic development. Her work concentrated on economic diversification, education reform, access to education for women and related human rights initiatives. Later she worked in human trafficking in the maritime industry.
During her career she has navigated challenging organizational landscapes. She is recognized for astute problem-solving, innovative program implementation, and relationship building. She is often recruited to leadership roles in Human Resources and Risk Management for purposes of building organizational resilience, optimization, and cultures that enable people to thrive. She has served as President and Chair of multiple non-profits, she is an academic and corporate speaker, a corporate trainer in both public and private sectors at the national and state level, and organizational consultant.
The experience Bellapais Consulting brings is backed by multiple higher education degrees, a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Global Ethics from the University of Leicester, a partner of the NATO Defense College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Relations, Master’s Diplomas from the University of Cambridge in Linguistics, Education, and Project Management, and teaching certifications from the University of Worcester.
